HYSTERECTOMY
OTHER SURGERY
Hysterectomy is performed together with removal of the fallopian tubes and cervix, both of which can carry potential cancer risks.
We use laparoscopic single-port surgery, making a small 2 cm incision in the navel area. This results in minimal scarring and a faster recovery.
Top surgery and hysterectomy can be performed in the same operation through coordinated care between the plastic surgeon and the OB-GYN specialist.
We respect each patient’s choice regarding whether to undergo oophorectomy (removal of ovaries) or preserve them.
If you wish to preserve your fertility, we can refer you to a specialized facility that offers preservation options.
Top surgery and hysterectomy can be performed simultaneously. At the LGBTQ+ Center, we coordinate the overall transition plan through multidisciplinary collaboration, surgical risk assessment, and scheduling, ensuring all decisions are made thorough consultation between the patient and medical team.
